Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Summer Camp 2020

Updated: Oct 28, 2021

We know you have questions and concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it might affect your camper's time at Carol Joy Holling Camp this summer. We are in contact with local health officials and are following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and American Camp Association (ACA).

At this time, we have not adjusted the summer schedule. We are monitoring school district schedule changes that could affect our summer sessions. If for any reason your camper needs to reschedule to another session, we are happy to do so, based on availability. Please contact our Registrar, Jessica Weltz, at jweltz@nlom.org to discuss any changes to your camper’s session.

We want you to know:

  • We are continually reviewing and updating our policies and procedures in relation to healthcare, on-site cleanliness, and camper support.

  • The cleaning products our housekeeping team uses are on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s list of products thought to be effective for this version of the Coronavirus.

  • All of our food service staff members have completed the ServSafe certification and follow strict food preparation, cleanliness, and safety standards.

In Psalm 46, we are reminded that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, let us not fear, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others.
